- Tenders are invited for Construction of New Solar Powered Water Supply System and Four Double Door VIP Latrines. Part of the grant has been apportioned to provide WASH Services through construction of new solar powered water supply system and four double door ventilated improved pit (VIP) latrines for schools in Dollow District. Title of Contract: Construction of 4 Blocks of Double Door School Ventilated Improved Pit (VIP) Latrines in Dollow Publication Reference: Lot 2 - Construction of 4 Blocks of Double Door Ventilated Improved Pit (Vip) Latrines For Schools in Dollow The Contractor shall exhibit good workmanship to ensure that the reinforcement is properly placed and that the specified cover is obtained. 5 mm on bars up to and including 12mm size. 10 mm on bars over 12mm up to and including 25mm size. 15 mm on bars over 25mm size Slabs Soffits (props left under) 7 days Props 21 days Beams Sides 3 days Soffits 21 days Walls and Columns (unloaded) 3 days Roof slab The Contractor shall conform to the concrete strengths required in the design of the slab. The design and construction of formwork should take account of safety and of the surface finish required for good quality impermeable concrete slab. All roof surfaces shall be kept clean and protected and handed over watertight at completion. Ladders Ladders and tanks etc. shall be galvanized steel pipes in accordance with BS 1387 "Medium clause" and shall be made to the dimensions on the drawing
