- The Project’s broad objectives is to improve energy services in Somalia’s urban and rural communities, thereby contributing to economic growth and improved health outcomes, while reducing any adverse environmental impacts. This will involve the scaling-up of modern energy services to both urban and rural communities through the implementation of renewable energy, the expansion and reinforcement of the distribution network, and the dissemination of advanced cooking technologies. This intervention will also spur economic growth and increase productivity for private sector and job creation opportunities for women and youth.
