  • Expression of Interest are invited for Strengthening the Protection through Providing Health Services to Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Somaliland The purpose of this Call for Expression of Interest is to solicit interest from existing or prospective partners, who would wish to participate Strengthening the protection through providing Health Services to Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Somaliland contribute complementary resources (human resources, knowledge, funds, in-kind contributions, supplies and/or equipment) to achieving common objectives as agreed in the Project Partnership Agreement. This call is only open to Non- Governmental and Not for Profit Organizations. UNHCR encourages partnership with NGOs capable of implementing multi-sectoral programs with a geographical focus, and taking into consideration the displaced populations, host communities and other regional specificities. UNHCR Somalia also encourages partnerships with local partners and/or partnerships with international partners, who commit to build the capacity of local partners with the objective of relying more on national capacities and therefore ensuring the sustainability of interventions Objective: Health status of the population improved The overall objective of this project is to improve Health Status of Persons of Concern (PoCs). With the major outcomes to be achieved being: Improve the access to healthcare facilities for Refugees, Asylum Seekers, all vulnerable and poor host communities. Successful transition of healthcare services from Secondary/tertiary to Primary Healthcare through strong community outreach, with considerable reduction in use of Secondary/Tertiary Healthcare. Improved Health Information System (HIS) and reporting; and Strengthened Referral Mechanism from Primary to Secondary/Tertiary Healthcare.
