- Save the Children International (SCI), in partnership with the Ministries of Health of Puntland, Jubaland, and Galmudug, with funding support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), has been implementing the Community Health and Social Accountability Programme (CHASP) since 2017. CHASP aims to reduce health disparities and advance universal health coverage in conflict-affected and underserved areas, with particular attention to the specific needs of women, adolescent girls, and marginalized populations, ensuring gender-responsive and transformative approaches are embedded across all interventions. A central priority of CHASP III, the third three-year phase of the program, is to strengthen governance and accountability within federal and state Ministries of Health, supporting Somalia-s transition from donor-funded humanitarian services to government-led, sustainable systems.
